1. Introduction
BookedTV, Inc. ("BookedTV," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and your rights regarding that information when you use the BookedTV platform at bookedtv.com (the "Platform").
By using the Platform, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Account information: name, email address, password (stored as a hashed value), business name, and role (Brand or Station).
- Profile information: company description, logo, target market, budget range, and other details you add to your profile.
- Show listings: show name, description, audience demographics, pricing, air times, and contact information (Stations only).
- Booking information: booking requests, messages between Brands and Stations, and booking outcomes.
- Payment information: billing details collected and processed by our payment processor, Stripe. BookedTV does not store your full credit card number.
- Communications: messages, support requests, and feedback you send to us or to other users through the Platform.
2.2 Information We Collect Automatically
- Log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages visited, and timestamps.
- Usage data: features you use, searches you perform, shows you view or save, and interactions with the Platform.
- Cookies and similar technologies: session cookies required for authentication and security. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
2.3 Information from Third Parties
- Google OAuth: if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google, subject to Google's privacy policy.
- Stripe: we receive confirmation of successful payments and subscription status from Stripe, but not your full payment card details.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account and authenticate your identity.
- Facilitate connections and transactions between Brands and Stations.
- Process subscription payments and send billing receipts.
- Send transactional emails: booking confirmations, messages, password resets, and account notifications.
- Provide customer support and respond to your inquiries.
- Improve the Platform through analytics on usage patterns and feature adoption.
- Train and improve our recommendation engine and show-matching algorithms using aggregated and anonymized data.
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized activity.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for behavioral advertising.
4. How We Share Your Information
4.1 With Other Users
Profile information and show listings are visible to other registered users of the Platform. Booking requests and messages are shared with the Station or Brand involved in the booking. Your public profile (business name, description, and applicable ratings) may be visible to all users.
4.2 With Service Providers
We share information with trusted third-party vendors who help us operate the Platform, including:
- Stripe — payment processing
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- Cloud hosting providers — infrastructure and database hosting
These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and may not use it for their own purposes.
4.3 For Legal Reasons
We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of BookedTV, our users, or the public.
4.4 Business Transfers
If BookedTV is acquired, merged, or undergoes a change of control, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or compliance purposes (such as billing records, which we retain for 7 years). Aggregated, anonymized data may be retained indefinitely for analytics purposes.
6. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:
- TLS/HTTPS encryption for all data transmitted to and from the Platform.
- Bcrypt password hashing — we never store passwords in plain text.
- Time-based one-time password (TOTP) two-factor authentication for all admin and station accounts.
- Regular security reviews of our codebase and infrastructure.
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Cookies
We use strictly necessary session cookies to keep you logged in and protect against CSRF attacks. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so will prevent you from logging in to the Platform.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: update or correct inaccurate information through your account settings or by contacting us.
- Deletion: request deletion of your personal information. We will comply unless we are required to retain it by law.
- Portability: request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Opt-out of emails: unsubscribe from non-essential email communications using the unsubscribe link in any email. You cannot opt out of transactional emails (such as booking confirmations and security alerts) while your account is active.

9. Children's Privacy
The Platform is intended for business use by adults only. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have collected information from a minor, we will delete it promptly.
10. Third-Party Links
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties and encourage you to review their privacy policies.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of the updated Policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
